Menorca - Arch Over Open Water

An arch gives absence a visible shape. The opening matters as much as the material that surrounds it, connecting the solidity of the shore with the space beyond. These photographs attend to that balance, in which a boundary becomes a passage and the sea acquires a concentrated presence through what the land leaves open.
