Littoral Studies - Other Coasts

Littoral Studies - Other Coasts brings together shorelines shaped by varied geology, maritime histories, and patterns of settlement. From Normandy’s tidal plains to the Pacific cliffs of California, the Atlantic edge of Ireland, and the Mediterranean coasts of Sardinia, Menorca, and Liguria, the photographs examine how erosion, weather, navigation, and habitation organize coastal space. Towers, villages, harbors, and isolated structures remain embedded in systems of rock, water, and exposure. Across distinct seas and climates, the set treats the coast as terrain negotiated between human use, stone, and distance.
