09.- Measured Against Stone
Human presence along the fjords unfolds as a measured negotiation with scale, exposure, and geological permanence. Structures anchor themselves provisionally to rock and shoreline, forming temporary alignments within a landscape governed overwhelmingly by mountain mass and water. Across villages, harbors, and isolated dwellings, habitation appears dispersed and fragile against the enduring structure of the fjords. The sequence gradually moves toward reduction and near absence, where only sparse traces remain within the larger continuity of stone, water, and snow.
