Frozen Structures

Freezing gives water a structure without granting it permanence. Lines and boundaries appear where movement has become temporarily difficult to perceive. These photographs consider that provisional order, in which solidity carries the possibility of its own release and a surface can be read both as a present form and as a phase of change.
